Longleaf Heart Pine was once a predominant timber across the Southeastern United States. Its prevalence and unique properties made it the most widely utilized timber in the construction of industrial factories and warehouses during the 19th Century. Today, small pockets of Old Growth Heart Pine have been identified and still offer amber heartwood, golden sapwood, sound knots, and large dimensions.
